WHY PEOPLE DRINK OR DO DRUGS

I did a dissertation, writing, on why people cry and prophecy loud in church sometimes now I will do one on why people drink and/or
take drugs. Both are dangerous and that is why Jesus said “Be sober and vigilant when I come.” It is clear that sober covers drinking
to excess and the fact is after the first drink you are NOT as “vigilant” as you were so then a second does not seem so bad and that
easily leads to a third and more. Under the influence of the alcohol a girl is not so careful about having sex and a guy has a VERY
difficult time restraining himself if he has the opportunity and the girl appears to want the activity. Now they are in the position, most of
the time, of having unprotected sex and a baby is born to be raised by another single mother.
Both face an extremely difficult life and most guys are now trying to excuse not sharing the responsibility and bills connected to raising
the child so they face a difficult life too. With drugs being vigilant is gone in a few minutes. Both of these conditions not only create
dangers and suffering here on earth but they also endanger a person’s eternal life and soul for a number of reasons.
The bible teaches us not to offend a brother or sister and not to make them stumble. Some brothers and sisters cannot drink without
going to excess so they are stumbled by the testimony of a drinking brother and some of them go from drinking to drugs resulting in a
double offence for the Christian who gave the problem child a bad witness and cause the problem child to stumble. Some brothers and
sisters who are staying clear of the danger are offended by brothers and sisters who do it. Now the Christian who drinks or takes drugs
is in another dangerous position with more danger they don’t normally see or think about. If a brother or sister who is stumbled by
such a witness or one who is offended by such a witness asks you if you do it and you are a Christian are you going to lie to them or
offend them?
This is the first question God asked me one day. I said, “Lord, a liar won’t go to heaven and I am not supposed to offend my brothers
and sisters. I don’t like either of those answers. Isn’t there a third option?” The Lord said, “NO, and let me ask you another question.
Did you almost make Robert go back to drinking and drugs that he was delivered from because he saw your witness and thought he
could handle it?” I said, “Yes Lord.” The Lord continued, “What does my WORD say about making one of the least of my children
suffer?” I replied, “It is better for you that a millstone be hung around your neck and that you be cast into the sea than to be here in
the day of judgment.” The Lord flashed some of Robert’s old problems and sufferings through my mind and asked, “Did you almost
make him suffer by your witness?” I said, “Yes Lord.”
The Lord said, “This is why my WORD tells my children to present themselves a living sacrifice, HOLY, acceptable to the Lord; which is
their reasonable service. On a lesser level but a way that some parents might understand; If you have two children arguing over a toy
and there is just no way they are ever going to stop arguing the parent will normally remove the source of the argument. The toy is
taken out of the situation and never seen again.” The Lord flashed a movie I had seen through my mind. The movie was “The Gods
Must Be Angry”; I believe that was the title but I am lousy on names. A guy tossed a coke bottle out of a plane in Africa and the story
follows what happens to a tribe when a member takes the coke bottle to his village. It becomes a source of division and contention. The
member takes it many miles to the sea and tosses it over the cliff and into the ocean. Peace is restored to the village.
After that God said, “I called you to minister to ALL my children; those who think drinking is OK and those who don’t. I can give you a
lesser ministry if you want. The same way my children can remain babies messing their diapers and always in danger without having the
deep inner peace that you have but they DO have their drinking and parties. Would you like to do less for me and have a lesser
ministry?” I immediately responded, “OH NO Lord! I want to do everything you want me to do! I want to give you the best because
you ARE the best! You are perfect and I want to give you as close to perfection as I can, I LOVE YOU LORD!” The Lord asked one last
question, “So what are you going to do about the drinking?” I said, “Give it up Lord!”
Then the Lord showed me why people drink and take drugs. Their spirit is looking for the feeling the Holy Spirit and God’s AGAPE’
LOVE gives but the ‘person’ lacks knowledge and understanding so they look for it in a flesh and blood way instead of spiritually and
when they look spiritually they usually look to the devil’s ways because lust and fear make them think they are going to have to give up
too much if they try MY WAY. Some are just spiritually lazy in addition to being manipulated by those spirits of Satan. IF they turn to me
in Spirit and in Truth I give them back far better than they ever dreamed possible.” What God did for me flashed through my mind and
spirit.
God woke me up at 2 in the morning this morning and ran this through my head and spirit then I could not sleep until I wrote it down
and posted it. HE also gave me something else for everyone. You would not party late and go to work late on a regular basis because
you know you could not do your job the way you should and you would often be late so you would lose your job. So why do you party
late and miss Sunday School when you know it is written in the Bible, “My children perish from lack of knowledge” and missing the
teaching of God’s WORD leads to THE ‘lack of knowledge’ that endangers your eternal soul and THAT IS how God’s children “perish”.
The devil is a counterfeit and he has only counterfeit garbage that leads to the second death of soul and spirit in hell and that is to
“perish”!
The Lord says, “People can get falling down drunk and you laugh but you scorn the Holy Spirit taking a person down in church and
doing things to the that heal body, mind, and spirit: that is hypocrisy so don’t go there and IF you are there REPENT! A person can get
drunk and loud, slurring their words and you laugh about it but if they get drunk or loud in the Spirit with God doing something good
to them or through them you scorn this. Again the Lord says 'Hypocrisy'. Read Psalms 1 and take it into your spirit then repent!”
For God’s children ‘love the sinner hate the sin’ and do not be influenced by it! Pharmacia is the word for “drug” and it means to alter
the natural state of the body – to open for demon possession while Apothecia is the word for “medication” and it means to bring the
body back from an unnatural or sickly state and restore it to normal. Some people will have a limited use for alcohol or medication but
when a person starts to party with it then it becomes a problem and NO leader of the church or person claiming strong witness should
“party” with ANY such thing. For the Hebrew children it was a source of fluid in a dry desert but it was also a danger that caused a lot
of suffering. You can stay a babe in the Lord and keep you toys but you keep the danger that goes with it. When you speak against the
Holy Spirit and try to justify your dangerous toys you endanger your mortal soul! The bible instructs us that there will be a form of
Godliness denying the power in the last days and that people will be calling evil good and good evil. Don’t go there! ‘ALL have sinned
and fall short’ so “work out YOUR salvation with fear and trembling” and let the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Preachers, and
Teachers do their job of “perfecting the saints” without you coming against them trying to justify your sins. To whom more is given
more is required. YOU decide how much YOU want! Give it up for JESUS!!! He cannot put something in when the vessel is full of other
“things” of the world.

nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself
is rightly judged by no one. 16 For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the
mind of Christ. NKJV AND Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of
God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the
Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if
Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him
who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who dwells in you. NKJV GET THIS IN YOUR SPIRIT AND THEN: Romans 12:12:1 I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which
is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV
